Summer Wrap Up

Things I'll miss about summer:

 Coney Island beach & boardwalk days

Lots & lots of ice cream/frozen yogurt

(Vanilla with rainbow sprinkles is always my go to combo)   

An uncontrollable addiction to iced tea...especially from David's Tea.

(How awesome is the name of that green tea?!)

Using shopping as a way to beat the heat (free air conditioning)

(Zara & Bergdorf Goodman mannequins)

Window shopping at stores I wish I could afford

(Christian Louboutin spiked heels / Yayoi Kusama in the window of Louis Vuitton... yes that really is her in the window)

Summer is just about over and I'm actually quite happy about it.

The lazy, beachy summer days will be missed (I'm sure I'll be craving a beach getaway come January)...

But Fall is my favorite season by far.

I love watching the leaves change color, curling up under a blanket, and above all the fashion.

Layering up just makes an outfit so much more intricate and fun. 

And of course NYFW is coming up so it'll be fun to see all of the celebrities, bloggers, etc. dressing their best.

A little more denim on denim for you today.  It has to be one of my favorite trends of the year by far.

Fall is in the air and I couldn't be happier.  

Don't get me wrong-- I love the sunny, beachy, lazy days of summer 

but the humidity & smog of NYC gets tiring fast.

And most importantly-- Fall is probably the most fun and exciting season for fashion

(Can't wait for NYFW either!)

I was feeling very all American today.  Classic blue jeans, a red tank, & an off white (made in the USA) vintage D&B bag.

The Tom Petty lyric was an obvious title choice because my European cousins call me "American girl"... and this outfit just reminded me of that.

Neutral Territory

I decided to try something different today-- wearing all neutral tones.  

It's pretty rare to find me without color, especially in the summer time.  
So this is me stepping out into new, neutral territory.

It's no secret that a "little black dress" is an essential piece in a woman's wardrobe.  Today I'm wearing my summer version of this classic piece.  I can't seem to stop wearing this dress because it's light & airy...& it can easily take me from day to night.

And without planning it I accessorized my outfit with mainly Kate Spade items.  I just love how their designs are classic, but still playful & quirky.
