Denim Days of Summer

Seven For All Mankind dress, Jessica Simpson bag, Sam Edelman heels, Free People sunglasses, Kate Spade necklace, J. Fay earrings & bracelet, street vendor ring

Summer days call for cute sundresses.
The ease of just throwing on a dress and cute shoes makes getting ready on humid days a breeze.

P.S.  I scored this denim 7FAM dress for only $20 at Beacon's Closet (a local thrift store)!

Lazy Days

The summer heat is approaching, and that means I've been able to break out all of my new warm weather clothes purchases I made over the winter. Like this Wildfox tee & MBMJ pants (both amazing sale finds at Century 21!).

I'm loving the combination of crop tops & high waisted pants for spring.  How about you?

P.S.  This look is quite reminiscent of my tomboy days when I wore nothing but wide leg jnco pants!

Today was such a gorgeous day.  Warm, but not muggy & humid as it can often be in NYC springs/summers.  So I opted for an extremely comfortable/casual look with a pair of slouchy paperbag shorts & a loose fitting blouse.

I didn't originally intend for the look to be safari-esque...but it seem's like that's how it turned out.  A happy accident I guess.

Today I'm wearing two of my favorite wardrobe pieces-- my menswear-esque vest and my vintage Dooney & Bourke purse.

I often layer this vest over a simple white t-shirt/blouse to make a bland outfit a bit more interesting.

On days where I'll be out & about all day I wear this D&B purse because it's big enough to hold all of my essentials (keys, wallet, phone, lipstick, eyeliner, sunglasses)...but it's not so big that it'll weigh me down.  The green and brown color combo is something you don't often see in a bag so it really stands out and gives an outfit a great pop of color.
